Privacy Policy Terms of Service

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SIMPEP Learning ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PEP — Primary Exit Profile Learning platform (the "Services"), which helps primary-school children in grades 4–6 prepare for the Primary Exit Profile.

1. Information We Collect

  • Parent/guardian account information: Name, email address, phone number, and password (stored hashed) when you enroll.
  • Children's learning profiles: Each child's name, grade level, and chosen avatar, plus the learning progress they generate as they use the app (XP, levels, streaks, chapter scores, and badges). This information is provided and managed by the responsible parent or guardian.
  • Feedback & ratings: Reviews and star ratings you choose to submit about the app.
  • Payment information: Enrollment and renewal payments are processed by WiPay. We do not store full card numbers; only transaction references and status are retained.
  • Usage data: Browser type, IP address, pages visited, and session timestamps collected automatically for security and performance purposes.
  • Cookies and sessions: Authentication cookies and session tokens to keep you securely signed in.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Services and each child's learning experience.
  • To process enrollment and renewal payments and send billing-related communications.
  • To authenticate parents/guardians and maintain account security.
  • To respond to support requests and inquiries submitted via the Contact Us or Support forms.
  • To display parent feedback and ratings after they have been reviewed and approved by our team.
  • To send service announcements, updates, or security notices when necessary.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your or your children's personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

  • WiPay: Payment processing for enrollment and renewals. WiPay's own privacy policy governs data shared with them during payment.
  • Hosting infrastructure: Our servers are hosted on cloud infrastructure. Data is stored and processed within secured environments.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and your children's learning data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize the associated personal data within 90 days, unless retention is required by law.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication tokens, hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; however, we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.

6. Your Rights

As the account holder, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and your children.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Add, edit, or remove a child's profile at any time from your dashboard.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

7. Children's Privacy

PEP is an educational platform intended for primary-school children (typically grades 4–6). Accounts may only be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old — children do not create or control their own accounts. The learning profiles and progress data associated with a child are provided and controlled by the responsible parent or guardian, who may review, edit, or delete them at any time from the account dashboard. We collect only the information necessary to deliver each child's learning experience and never request more personal detail about a child than is needed for that purpose.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Contact Us

For privacy-related inquiries, please reach us through the Contact Us form on our home page, or through the Support option available inside your account dashboard.

Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the PEP — Primary Exit Profile Learning platform (the "Services") operated by SIMPEP Learning. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, you confirm that you are a parent or legal guardian at least 18 years old, that the children you enroll are in your care, and that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Description of Services

PEP — Primary Exit Profile Learning is an online learning platform that helps primary-school children in grades 4–6 master the Primary Exit Profile through interactive lessons, quizzes, and games, with progress tracking for parents. Access is provided under the enrollment you select.

3. Enrollment & Billing

Enrollment is billed annually per child, with a reduced rate for each additional child on the same account. Access to the learning platform continues for twelve months from the date of payment and may be renewed before expiry. When you add a child during an active term, the fee for that child is pro-rated over the days remaining in your term.

Payments are processed securely via WiPay. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including your children's use of the platform.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Each account is intended for the children of a single household or family, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Acceptable Use

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services.
  • Resell or sublicense the Services without our express written consent.

7. Your Content & Data

You retain ownership of the information you provide about yourself and your children. By using the Services, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you.
